Video: JJ Watt, recovering from hernia surgery, can still dunk

We all know that Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt is already a freak athlete, as the three-time Defensive Player of the Year has ridiculous speed for a pass rusher and thus has 74.5 career sacks at just 26 years old.

Well, we can now add something else to the growing list of things Watt can do. He is currently recovering from offseason hernia surgery and just resumed working out. In a video posted to his Twitter, Watt can be seen working some magic with a basketball before rising up for a one-handed dunk.

Check it out!

Granted, the 6-foot-5 Watt appeared to be stretching himself out a bit, nor do we know if the hoop was at the regulation height of 10 feet, but his ball handling is still impressive for someone who hasn’t played competitive basketball since attending Wisconsin’s Pewaukee High School. Moreover, Houston Rockets forward and Watt’s fellow Wisconsin alum Sam Dekker and saw the video and presented Watt with a proposition.

Next question: will this video earn JJ Watt an invitation to the Celebrity Game at NBA All-Star Weekend next season?
