Though Chip Kelly has since been fired and replaced with Doug Pederson, Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray is still “unhappy” in the City of Brotherly Love, according to a tweet from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
The message teams are receiving this week: DeMarco Murray still not happy in Philly. Trading him will be difficult, but #Eagles will listen.

This puts Philadelphia between a rock and a hard place. Murray was signed away from the Dallas Cowboys last offseason to a five-year, $42 million contract and considering how the former Oklahoma Sooner had just led the NFL in rushing in 2014, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Instead, the deal blew up in Murray’s face. He was not a strong fit in Kelly’s system and only started eight of 15 games, ultimately being benched. He finished the season with 702 rush yards and six rushing touchdowns, well below expectations given his contract.
And now Philadelphia’s front office will be tasked with finding him a new home for Henry, but convincing teams to take on the $7 million he is due in base salary next season will be easier said than done.
