Pharoh Cooper won’t run 40 at Combine

The 40-yard-dash has always been one of the most important events at the NFL Scouting Combine, especially for skill position guys like wide receivers. If you don’t have a great 40 time, it will likely hurt you going into the NFL Draft.

Former South Carolina wide receiver Pharoh Cooper is a receiver that could really help his draft stock by performing well at the Combine this weekend, but it’s going to be hard for him to do that. According to reports, he won’t be running the 40 on Friday due to strained quadriceps muscle.

Luckily for Cooper, he should be healed up to run at his Pro Day in April. If he is able to perform well there, you could expect to see him move up some teams’ draft boards.

During his career with the Gamecocks, Cooper has shown off his offensive versatility. He recorded 2,163 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns, ran for 413 yards and four touchdowns, and threw for 118 yards and four touchdowns.

He also added on 529 total career yards in the return game, so there’s no doubting that he should be a big commodity for any team in the NFL come April.
