ESPN College Gameday to end season at UNC vs. Duke

ESPN has announced that the final College Gameday of the 2016 season will take place at Cameron Indoor Stadium for the rematch between ACC rivals Duke and North Carolina.

This will be the sixth time that Gameday ends the year at Duke with all six times have come when North Carolina was the opponent. It also is the eighth time that GameDay will be at a UNC-Duke contest, the most in the show’s history.

The game is a highly-anticipated rematch between the two programs after Duke’s comeback win over North Carolina on February 17. The then-No. 20 Blue Devils defeated the then-N0. 5 Tar Heels 74-73 at North Carolina.

Duke vs. North Carolina takes place on Saturday March 5 at 6:30pm. It’s the final game for both teams before the ACC Men’s Tournament from the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

The tournament starts on March 8, and will include 14 of the 15 ACC teams. Louisville won’t take part due to a self-imposed postseason ban for a sex scandal with recruits.
