2018’s No. 3 recruit Micah Parsons commits to Penn State

Penn State is a forward thinking program, that is for sure. How do I know this? They’re already collecting commitments not for their 2017 recruiting class, but their 2018 class.

And they’re not getting them from just any ol’ recruit, Saturday they got the no. 3 recruit in the nation to come to Happy Valley. Harrisburg (Pa.) Central Dauphin four-star defensive end Micah Parsons announced via Twitter his intention to play his collegiate football in State College.

Parsons made at least three visits to the Penn State campus within a span of four months, on the last of which he “fell in love.” According to reports, he was close to committing to James Franklin’s program back when he made those visits last year.

At 6-3 and 225 pounds, Parsons is rated the No.1 strong-side defensive end in the country according to 247 Sports.

To no surprise, Parsons is the Nittany Lions’ first commitment for the 2018 season.
