Texas A&M has a significant recruiting class set to arrive on campus for the 2016 season, and has chosen to get the fan base excited in a unique manner. Per a tweet from senior associate AD Jason Cook, the Aggies have put up billboards in the Houston area and East Texas that feature incoming freshmen from each respective region.
This is an interesting way to keep the fans engaged, especially with what has happened at Texas A&M in recent months. Quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray transferred to Houston and Oklahoma, respectively, making it seem as though there was disorder in the house in College Station after the Aggies finished 8-5 and lost to Louisville in the Music City Bowl (4-4 SEC) after a 5-0 start.
That said, by putting these billboards to good use, Aggies fans in certain regions can get excited at the prospect of watching local talent become stars at Texas A&M and subsequently making the program a force to be reckoned with once again.
