The North Carolina Tar Heels got a big win Monday night when they defeated the Syracuse Orange to retake sole possession of the lead in the ACC once again. The game was the team’s final home of game of the season and the last for many of its star senior players.
They honored their seniors prior to the game in a special Senior Night ceremony. Following the big win, senior point guard Marcus Paige gave an incredible and emotional speech to the crowd and addressed head coach Roy Williams and teammate and fellow senior Brice Johnson.
Marcus to Brice: "I love you, man. You're like the brother I've never had, and I'm going to cherish that the rest of my life."

Paige choking up addressing RoyW: “You always believed in me … I can’t thank you enough for that.”

That was pretty awesome. The Tar Heels, however, are not done this season. They may not be back playing in the Dean Dome again, but they still have a pretty good chance to send their seniors out on top.
They are one of the better teams in the country, if not the best, this year and have a chance to lock up the ACC regular-season title with a win against rival Duke on the road on Saturday.
It has been a magical season for the team and Paige so far this year. You can only hope that they have a little more magic left in their bag.
