Alex Mack is going to be a free agent…again.
The Pro Bowl center has voided the final three years of his contract with the Cleveland Browns, and will hit the open market next week. Though he will consider rejoining the Browns, Mack is expected to see what his value is on the market.
For a Pro Bowl center, it’s likely that his time in Cleveland is done as a number of teams would love to bring him aboard.
Two years ago, Mack signed an offer sheet with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Browns ultimately matched the offer. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Jaguars, who are currently more promising on the field than the Browns, make yet another run at Mack. After all, they do have nearly $80 million in salary cap space this offseason.
NFL Free Agency starts on March 9, and Campus Sports will have full coverage on the latest news, rumors and signings.
