Clemson’s Kevin Dodd to be a top 10 pick?

When you think of the Clemson Tigers’ top prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft class, names like Shaq Lawson and Mackensie Alexander are generally the first to come to mind.

However, everyone should be keeping an eye out on defensive end Kevin Dodd.

Dodd has been rising up draft boards in recent weeks, but his momentum temporarily halted after he was unable to participate at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Despite not participating,’s Daniel Jeremiah slated Dodd to the Miami Dolphins with the No. 8 overall pick in his latest mock draft.

“The Dolphins need to add some youth on the edge and Dodd has tremendous upside,” Jeremiah wrote.

In the mock, Dodd comes off the board before Lawson and another highly-touted defensive end recruit, Noah Spence.

It will be interesting to see how things continue to play out as the draft season continues, but keep an eye on Dodd as the draft nears because his momentum seems to only be growing.
