If you are a Penn State football fan, it seems you are going to love Saquon Barkley. The guy is an absolute freak of nature.
Tuesday, there was video posted of him putting up a 390-pound clean. Wednesday afternoon video of him surfaced squatting seven reps of 495 lbs. That my friends, is superhuman.
But to top it all off, Barkley ran the fastest 40-yard dash of all the Nittany Lions Monday, burning through 40 yards in 4.38 seconds.
And the scary thing is, he’s getting faster.
Saquon Barkley ran a 4.43 in summer of 2015. Has unreleased best 40 this winter. Last year that honor was Grant Haley at 4.36

To get a glimpse of that speed and freakish athleticism, here’s video of his 20-yard shuttle.

Barkley rushed for 1076 yards on 182 carries in 2015, good for a 5.9 yards per carry average. He also found the end zone seven times on the ground.
If Barkley were at the NFL Draft Scouting Combine last week, his time of 4.38 would have been the eighth fastest there. Faster than NFL hopefuls such as Braxton Miller, who ran a 4.5.
