Rutgers appoints new video coordinator

New Rutgers head coach Chris Ash has not wasted time molding the Scarlet Knights program into what he wants and needs. Ash appointed a new video coordinator, bringing in Pat Kelly to assume the role.

Kelly takes over for Ricky Palmer, who spent six years with the program as video coordinator before taking a position with the Cleveland Browns.

Ash and Kelly are pretty familiar with each other, as they knew each other in past lives. Kelly spent the last three seasons as the recruiting video coordinator/assistant video coordinator at Arkansas, working with Ash when both were with the Razorbacks program in 2014 and at Wisconsin in the 2011 and ’12 seasons.

A 2009 graduate of Colorado State University, Kelly has been a video coordinator since 2004. In addition, he has extensive experience with opponent tape exchanges, matching video clips and game analysis.

It looks like Ash has all the pieces in place, even the ones behind the scenes. This should make for an exciting first season in the Ash era.
