Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, to return to football?

Former UCLA recruit and son of rapper Snoop Dogg, Cordell Broadus, announced back in August of 2015 that he would no longer continue to pursue a football career with the Bruins. He said on social media that, “[He] played football for [his] father because [he] thought that was the only way he would love me [and] be apart of [his] life. It took [him] 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player.”

Broadus announced that he would instead pursue passions outside of athletics, including film and directing.

However, today, college football fans are speculating a return of the four-star recruit. Broadus tweeted today, alluding to a return to the field. Nothing official has been confirmed thus far.

Broadus committed to UCLA though his father’s favorite collegiate team is Bruins rival USC. Brodaus’ recruitment process was documented in a miniseries by ESPN called Snoop & Son.
