Boston College 0-26 in two sports

It has been a rough year for Boston College athletics, to say the least and they’ve set an unprecedented record in the worst way. In a 66-50 loss to Clemson, Boston became the first school in ACC history to go winless in league play for different two sports, football and basketball. BC football finished their season 0-8 in 2015.

Earlier this week, Boston was set to snap the losing streak against North Carolina State, but were taken down by a buzzer-beater. Father back, BC had the chance to end their football woes in a scoreless game against Wake Forest, but were beaten by a lone field goal from WF, despite Boston’s strong defensive performance. The team posted only 124 yards of offense and only five first downs, that game.

The last time a school in a major conference went on a two-sport losing-streak was when the Georgia Bulldogs lost all SEC games during World War II, in an abbreviated schedule.
