A former member of the Syracuse Orange could soon have a new home. According to reports, defensive end Qaadir Sheppard, who was booted from the football program at Syracuse, is visiting Ole Miss.
Sheppard informed the Syracuse Post-Standard of his decision to visit the Rebels.
As is always the case, if Sheppard were to transfer to Ole Miss — or any other FBS program — he would be forced to sit out a year to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.
Sheppard was dismissed from Syracuse earlier this year for a “violation of team rules.”
However, it was widely reported that he was dismissed after failing two drug tests.
We will keep you updated with further developments on Sheppard’s status.
