Earlier this week, Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong was arrested for marijuana possession in Scottsdale, Arizona. He wasn’t kept in jail very long and it now looks like he won’t be punished too severely when it comes to legal issues.
When Strong was stopped by police as he was riding with Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall, who was Strong’s teammate at Arizona State, he seemed to be very cooperative with the police officer. The passengers in the car were given two options: the hard way or the easy way.
Strong chose the latter and freely handed the officer prepared marijuana joints.
The Texans have since released a statement saying that they will have no further comment on the situation. However, this just goes to show that cooperation goes a long way.
He will likely be suspended for a game in the 2016 season due to the NFL’s marijuana policy.
