The New York Giants are going to be letting Jason Pierre-Paul go into free agency this off-season and it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone. Now it looks like the team is looking towards a veteran to serve as his short-term replacement.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported that defensive end Charles Johnson is set to visit the Giants on Sunday. He was just released by the Carolina Panthers just this week.
I'm told former #Panthers DE Charles Johnson is traveling Sunday for a visit with the #Giants.

Johnson was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2007 Draft and has spent his entire career with the team. He has recorded 63.5 sacks, including a career-high 12.5 in 2012, and 210 tackles.
He has certainly been a big piece for the Panthers for the last nine years and now he is looking to be a big piece for another team very soon. Could that team be the Giants?
