One of the best guards available is back with the team that gave him his second chance in the NFL. Richie Incognito has come to terms with the Buffalo Bills on a new three-year contract.
Incognito made the announcement himself via Twitter.
Incognito was signed by the Bills last offseason on a “prove it” deal after being out of the NFL for a full year because of the bullying scandal in Miami with the Dolphins. He joined the team, and was a major reason for the Bills leading the NFL in rushing in 2015.
There were plenty of reports that stated both team and player were far apart on a deal. One story from The Buffalo News even said that the Bills didn’t make an offer to Incognito all season, and they even made him a low-ball offer at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Ultimately, the two sides came to a deal that both deemed to be fair. Incognito gains his stability while the Bills keep a key part of the offensive line.
