The college football season is still six months away, but it is not too early to look at some of the season’s most anticipated games. One of those match-ups is when the Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Norman to take on Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Mayfield, who will likely go into the season as a favorite for the Heisman Trophy, decided to joke with one of the most recognizable Buckeyes. He tweeted at ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit about the matchup, saying he knows it would be hard for him to pick his Buckeyes to lose.

Of course, Herbstreit responded to the quarterback and even told him that he hopes he will stick around for the second part of the home-and-home series in 2017.
Hahaha!!! Gonna be a great 2 year series. Hope you stick around for the trip to Columbus. The Shoe is special!! https://t.co/Zxu4b0O5uA

Depending on how the two teams start their season, this should be one of the biggest games of the year and could have major College Football Playoff implications riding on it. It should also draw Herbstreit and the College Gameday crew to Norman.
The popular Saturday morning show is already planning their trip to Oklahoma, so Herbstreit will likely get his chance to make a selection. It would be hard for him to pick against the Buckeyes, but we will just have to wait and see what is going to happen.
The Sooners and Buckeyes take the field in Norman on September 17.
