Quarterback Chase Daniel has signed a multi-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, thus reuniting with coach Doug Pederson. Daniel’s deal was reported on Twitter by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Daniel was one of the bigger names in a thin quarterback market this year. He’s likely slated for backup duty in Philadelphia, but keep in mind that the Eagles’ starter is the inconsistent and injury prone Sam Bradford. Thus, Daniel should see some playing time.
Daniel signing with the Eagles could also be a sign that Mark Sanchez is about to be released after two years in Philadelphia.
But fans should not simply expect Daniel to be a mere backup for the Eagles. Keep in mind that Pederson was his offensive coordinator in Kansas City and dropped hints that he wanted Daniel in Philadelphia with him.
Thus, if Bradford can’t stay healthy once again, don’t be surprised if a popular name among Eagles fans in 2016 is Chase Daniel.
