Erin Sorensen, a writer for Nebraska’s Hail Varsity sports magazine and sports blogger, was involved in a horrific car crash that occurred in late February. Sorensen was driving with her boyfriend and another friend when their car was hit by an intoxicated driver on a Friday night.
She sustained serious burns as well as a few broke ribs.
Since then, Sorensen has been recovering with the help of Cornhusker fans across Nebraska and the Nebraska football and baseball programs. People from various Nebraska teams have sent her care packages with autographs, Nebraska apparel, and get-well wishes.
She posted pictures of these care packages to her Twitter account along with words of gratitude towards the coaches, staff, and players who have sent good-thoughts toward her and her recovery.
THANK YOU @CoachMiles and the entire @HuskerHoops staff! You have no idea how much this means to me (and Jacks!). pic.twitter.com/YYtfD2D0Ma
