After a wild weekend of mixed martial arts thanks to UFC 196 last Saturday, the women get an opportunity to take center stage on Friday night with Invicta FC 16 on UFC Fight Pass.
If the way the fight card stacks up on paper is any indication for what to expect from the all-female MMA promotion is any indication, then fight fans are in for a treat.
Invicta FC 16 is headlined by a championship double-header. In the main event, atomweight champion Ayaka Hamasaki puts her title on the line against Amber Brown. For the co-main event event, the interim flyweight title is on the line as Jennifer Maia and Vanessa Porto go toe-to-toe.
The fight card also features plenty of big name talent, including UFC vets Angela Hill, Jessamyn Duke and Roxanne Modaferri, along with rising Mexican star Irene Aldana and promising prospect Andrea “KGB” Lee.
If there is one thing you can guarantee when the women step into the cage, it is that there will be plenty of exciting action.
Are you still not convinced you should tune in Friday night? If not, here are five reasons to watch Invicta FC 16.
