More than half of Ohio residents think Ohio State would beat the Browns

The Browns are without a doubt one of the worst NFL franchises today, and have been since they came back into the league in 1999. So much so that many of their own fans think that they would lose to the state of Ohio’s real team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in a head-to-head matchup.

According to a poll done by Public Policy Polling, 57 percent of Ohioans think that the Buckeyes would beat the Browns.

Now, the reality is that the Browns would probably destroy Ohio State, as any NFL team is filled with 53 elite college players, where as even a team like Ohio State has maybe 25 max.

But big picture, it says a lot about how little the residents in the Browns’ own state think of the team.

The PPP also addressed the Browns’ Johnny Manziel situation, finding that 72 percent of Browns fans think the team should cut ties with Johnny Manziel, compared with 12 percent who think they should keep him around.

Maybe the Browns should just hire Urban Meyer.
