Recruits told NCAA of Louisville sex parties

The Louisville escort scandal case took another turn yesterday asESPN’s Outside The Lines reported three former recruits told the NCAA that what local madam Katina Powell said in a tell-all book was indeed true and that there were indeed strippers and sex parties during their visits.

These recruits also confirmed that it was former Louisville assistant Andre McGee who organized everything and, in an even more disturbing turn of events, that McGee gave every recruit on such a visit a “stack of dollar bills” that was usually hundreds of dollars. It wasn’t just recruits who took part in such events, as active Cardinals players were also there.

McGee is no longer at Louisville, but this still doesn’t look good for the Cardinals under any circumstances. Now that everything has been confirmed by former recruits, the NCAA is unlikely to go easy on Louisville despite the basketball team self-imposing a postseason ban this year.

It also puts the future of Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino in jeopardy, though he has denied any knowledge of what went on. Pitino will interview with the NCAA next month and given the seriousness of everything, it will be nothing short of miraculous if he comes out of the investigation unscathed.
