The United States Basketball Association has announced its 2016 All-American Teams, with each member being more than deserving of the honor.
Check out the teams below!
First Team:
G: Malcolm Brogdon, Virginia
G: Buddy Hield, Oklahoma
F: Brice Johnson, North Carolina
F: Ben Simmons, LSU
G: Denzel Valentine, Michigan State
Second Team:
G: Kris Dunn, Providence
G: Tyler Ulis, Kentucky
F: Jared Uthoff, Iowa
F: Georges Niang, Iowa State
F: Jakob Poeltl, Utah
These are definitely upperclassmen-heavy teams, with Simmons the only freshman represented, but consider the talent pool that existed in college basketball this year. With all of the parity that made not one team stand out more than others, except maybe Kansas or Michigan State towards season’s end, one can only imagine how hard it was for the USBWA to put the All-American Teams together.
And next up is the NCAA Tournament, where many of these players will put their reputations and potential NBA Draft stock to the test.
