The Philadelphia Eagles have a strong duo starting at defensive tackle in Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan, but there is no denying they could address some defensive line depth issues during the NFL Free Agency period.
That is apparently something the Eagles are set to do and it comes in the form of a player very familiar with new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
According to Mark Eckel of NJ.com, the Eagles are showing interest in free agent defensive tackle Nick Fairley.
Fairley, who was selected No. 13 overall when Schwartz was head coach of the Detroit Lions, is also receiving interest from three or four other teams, so the Eagles will have to beat out some other potential suitors.
If the Eagles could reach an agreement with Nick Fairley, he could prove to be a very valuable and key part of the defensive line rotation moving forward.
