Fear not, LSU fans, like myself. Star running back Leonard Fournette will not miss much time if any at all. He was held out of practice on Tuesday and that sparked widespread panic by Tiger fans everywhere.
However, that injury doesn’t seem to be very serious. There was no indication of exactly what the injury was, but one official told College Football Talk that Fournette was dealing with a minor soft-tissue issue in an undisclosed location.
He will not take part in LSU’s Wednesday practice, but if it is any consolation, Fournette will be in practice Thursday. He is not expected to be limited in practice.
In 2015, Leonard Fournette came on very strong and led the Heisman Trophy race for most of the season. He went for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns, which led the SEC, while his 168.2 yards per game led the country.
He is expected to be a big part of the Tigers’ success in the 2016 season.
