Less than 24 hours after Sony announced a price point and launch date for its PlayStation VR, the device is already selling out at a variety of retailers.
According to VG247, a number of stores like Amazon have already seen their pre-order stock wiped clean by excited fans.
PlayStation VR launches this October, and will cost $399. The headset requires the PlayStation 4 console as well as the PlayStation Camera in order to be utilized.
There has been no confirmation as to which titles will support the headset, but the company has stated that 230 developers are working on content for the device. What type of content that is obviously remains to be seen.
PlayStation VR features an OLED 1080P display and a screen size of 5.7”. It will also offer a 100-degree field of view.
