In the wee hours of the morning on Friday, leading Asian mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship will host ONE: Union of Warriors at Thuwanna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.
All fighters for the event made weight, with “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang of Myanmar and Egypt’s Mohamed Ali making their main event middleweight bout official.
Sang, the local favorite was overwhelmed with the atmosphere at weigh-ins.
“Walking into the Thuwanna Indoor Stadium in front of my people is going to be an amazing feeling. I can just imagine all the loud cheering. It’s going to be the best feeling, and I’m going to use that to my advantage. All my family that’s still in Myanmar will be there, all my high school friends, and all my schoolmates. It’s going to be pretty crazy,” Sang said.
ONE: Union of Warriors begins at 7:30 a.m. ET.
