Duke Blue Devils assistant coach Jeff Capel proved that he still has some magic from his playing days, as he drilled a shot from the tunnel during practice today at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, a la Golden State Warriors star guard Steph Curry.
Of course, video of Capel’s epic shot was posted to Duke’s Instagram. Check it out!

Keep in mind that Capel is 41 years old, but his making this shot on his end isn’t entirely unheard of, as impressive as it is. After all, the man did play for Duke and had a reputation as an excellent shooter. In his final season in Durham, he shot a highly impressive 44 percent from beyond the arc and left school with a career three-point mark of 39 percent.
And oddly enough, Duke shot nearly 54 percent from the field yesterday in its opening round win over UNC-Wilmington. If the Blue Devils can sink shots against Yale tomorrow the way Capel sunk his from the tunnel, then they can look forward to making the Sweet Sixteen yet again.
