Oregon wearing throwback unis vs Holy Cross

||

No. 1 Oregon is taking on No. 16 Holy Cross in Spokane tonight, and is doing so in an interesting style. As the winners of the very first NCAA Tournament back in 1939, the Ducks tonight are wearing some throwback uniforms.

Of course, Oregon’s equipment staff posted a picture of the jersey to its official Twitter.

Now, on top of the Ducks’ green and yellow being one of my favorite uniforms to begin with, the throwbacks are just something special. The paler yellow matches perfectly with the hunter green, and the numbers are just shaped perfectly. Even adding the interesting curls to the letters gives Oregon’s uniforms tonight a little extra something.

And the throwbacks appear to be working in the Ducks’ favor. Oregon is up 43-25 on the Crusaders at halftime and is shooting 48 percent from the field while also outrebounding Holy Cross 20-13.
