John Calipari lauds 2016 recruiting class

The Kentucky Wildcats fell in a surprising upset to the Indiana Hoosiers in the Round of 32 on Saturday. They were certainly disappointed with the way their NCAA Tournament run ended, but they are already looking ahead to the 2016-17 season with head coach John Calipari seeming pretty confident.

Calipari spoke with reporters after the loss and said that he believes their upcoming recruiting class is already “one of the best ever.” SEC Network’s Kaylee Hartung reported the news via Twitter.

John Calipari came to Kentucky from Memphis in 2009 and has since brought some of the best recruiting classes in the country to Lexington. Next year’s class is just as impressive as his past ones.

The Wildcats have the top class in the country right now with five five-star players on the docket to sign with the team very soon. Those five players are De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Edrice Adebayo, Wenyen Gabriel, and Sacha Killeya-Jones.

I would say that this is going to be a pretty impressive group of players for Calipari next season.
