Following the Reese’s Senior Bowl in January, Eastern Kentucky pass rusher Noah Spence was rising up draft boards and many believed he had worked himself into the top half of the first-round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Since then, things have changed.
MMQB’s Robert Klemko spoke to one NFL talent evaluator who shared his thoughts on Spence, saying he does not believe he is a first-round pick at all.
“I don’t hear that he’s first-round guy at all,” the evaluator told Klemko. “I hear second or third round.”
After a lackluster showing at the NFL Scouting Combine and reports that he bombed individual interviews with teams, this shouldn’t come as too much of a shock.
Spence had a solid showing in Mobile, but that was not enough to escape the character concerns some teams have. And after proving that he is not an elite athlete with his showing at the combine, it’s only natural that Noah Spence’s stock came back to earth.
How high do you think Spence should be selected in April’s draft? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts and predictions.
