Dikembe Mutombo is ‘fine’ despite being at Brussels Airport during attack

Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo was at Brussels Airport this morning during the tragic terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 31, for which ISIS later took responsibility, but took to Facebook to claim that he is “fine,” per a report from TMZ.

“God is good. I am in Brussels Airport with this craziness. I am fine,” Mutombo wrote after posting a selfie.

A former star at Georgetown, Mutombo went on to play 18 NBA seasons for the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Houston Rockets. He played in eight All-Star Games and was named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year four times.

It’s great that he survived the attack, but there are plenty of others who are still missing. Stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates!
