The Lehigh Valley Cheesesteaks have amazing uniforms

Minor league baseball teams have some pretty unique names. You have the Columbia Fireflies, the Montgomery Biscuits, and the Jacksonville Suns. The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs have a pretty awesome nickname, but they will change it for one game over the summer.

The IronPigs are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania and are the affiliate team of the Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia is really famous for the Rocky Balboa steps, mean sports fans, and cheesesteaks, which serves as inspiration for the minor league team’s name change later this year.

The IronPigs announced that they will become the Lehigh Valley Cheesesteaks in honor of their major league partner on June 10 and they revealed their uniforms for the game on Tuesday. They are as amazing as you would believe.

Fans can even choose be on “Team Wit” or “Team Witout,” which refers to if you want your cheesesteak to be made with or without onions.

That is pretty amazing. Just a few weeks ago, a new collegiate summer league team replaced the minor league team in Savannah, Georgia. Their official name is the Savannah Bananas and I guess the IronPigs took inspiration from the team gaining such national fame.
