Josh Gordon shouts out Robert Griffin III

The Cleveland Browns made a big move today when they signed Robert Griffin III to a two-year contract. It looks like a good number of the players on the team are excited for Griffin’s signing, especially wide receiver Josh Gordon.

Gordon, who applied for reinstatement to the NFL back in January, gave Griffin a shout out on Twitter. He then went on to relive his glory days at Baylor, where the two played together in 2009 and 2010.

During the 2010 season with the Bears, Griffin threw for 3,501 yards and 22 touchdowns. Josh Gordon caught 42 of Griffin’s passes for 714 yards and seven touchdowns.

I think it’s safe to say that if Gordon is to get reinstated, and stays out of trouble, RG3 is going to have one heck of a target to throw to this season. Let’s just hope that this works out for both of these players, because it could be an interesting matchup to watch in 2016.
