There is not a bigger difference in one team’s football and basketball teams than there is with the Kansa Jayhawks. Their football team has been the laughingstock of the Big 12 for some time, while the basketball team looks poised to win its second national championship in the last decade this year.
The football team was practicing on Thursday when they decided to stop and have a little fun all while wishing their basketball counterparts good luck in the Sweet Sixteen tonight. They wheeled out a basketball hoop and played a game of “Knockout” in full uniform.

Of course, anyone who dresses up in a Kansas uniform, no matter the sport, is good at basketball. That is just how things work in Lawrence.
As you would imagine, fans held nothing back in taking shots at the Jayhawks, questioning why they weren’t practicing football to try and improve on their 17-67 record since 2009.
@KU_Football @KUHoops maybe you should be practicing football? This is why KU football is so bad! 😂

The definition of irony is the Jayhawk football team practicing basketball after an 0-12 season, while the basketball team is getting ready for their Sweet Sixteen match-up with the Maryland Terrapins.
The two teams will meet up at 9:40 p.m. EST on CBS.
