Arizona State forward Savon Goodman has left the program and will seek a move to a new program as a graduate transfer, per an AP report.
A former four-star recruit from Philadelphia, Goodman averaged 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Sun Devils in 2015-16. He was originally set to begin his college career at UNLV in 2013, but was suspended from the program for a season following burglary charges the same year.
Goodman then played at Iowa’s Indian Hills Community College before landing at Arizona State and posted 11.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest in his first year with the Sun Devils.
But Goodman’s off-court issues followed him to Arizona State, as he drew a four-game suspension this past season for an undisclosed violation of team rules. It is unclear if that will affect him when he looks to find his new team, but only time will tell. As a graduate transfer, Goodman will be immediately eligible to play wherever he ends up.
