Class of 2017 four-star cornerback Darnay Holmes, the No. 1 prospect at his position in his class, is set to visit Ohio State and said that the Buckeyes will “definitely make” his top three, according to Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com.
“They’ll definitely make my top three,” Holmes said.
Holmes, who currently attends Calabasas High School in the Los Angeles area, will visit both Arizona and Arizona State this weekend and has a trip to Stanford planned for April 1. He has already been to Ohio State twice, but will visit Columbus for a third time in the near future not only to attend the Buckeyes’ spring game, but also to tour the campus.
“I’ve never toured the campus. That’s one thing I’ve never done at Ohio State before,” Holmes said. “I’ve never been to a real game where fans are interacting with the players, so that’s something I am really looking forward to.”
Holmes has also drawn interest from Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, USC and Clemson, among many others. Thus, with Ohio State seemingly assured a spot in his top three, it’s going to be interesting to see which other schools make the cut.
