Losing a franchise is never easy. Trust me, I’m from Seattle and loved the Sonics. But this is America, and money talks.
Despite Los Angeles showing in the past that their hearts are fickle when it comes to the NFL, losing not one but two teams, teams lined up once the opportunity to move to LA presented itself.
The Rams, now formerly of St. Louis, were one of those teams, successfully securing a return to sunnier pastures.
However like many franchise relocations, theirs was abrupt and messy. Team ownership ignored the pleas from city government and fans, packing their bags seemingly overnight.
