Luke Kuechly ‘on schedule’ in recovery from shoulder surgery

Carolina Panthers star linebacker Luke Kuechly has declared himself “on schedule” in his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery, according to a report on the Panthers’ official website.

“It’s been good. I’ve just been here (in the training room) for the most part,” Kuechly said. “I’m feeling better and it just takes time. It’s a process and these guys do a great job. We’re on schedule.”

Kuechly had the surgery six weeks ago to repair a torn labrum, an injury he played with throughout the postseason and was not robbed of effectiveness. Per the report, he was in a sling for only two weeks.

But it’s refreshing for Carolina to know that Kuechly should indeed be good to go once the 2016 season kicks off. He is probably the best middle linebacker in the NFL and is a former Defensive Player of the Year, and even had 29 tackles with two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns in the playoffs last year. All with a bum shoulder!
