CBS and the NCAA have finally announced the changes that will be made to the One Shining Moment finale of the NCAA Tournament, and it is that R&B singer Ne-Yo will sing an alternate version of Luther Vandross’ classic.
Per Ralph D. Russo of the AP, Ne-Yo’s version will be sung on the TruTV and TNT broadcasts of the finale while Vandross’ will be used on that of TBS.
The new version of "One Shining Moment" will be used on the alternate broadcasts and performed by Ne-Yo.
Luther version will still be used.

To be honest, as a lifelong NCAA Tournament fan, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this. The Luther Vandross version has been a staple for over a decade and while I understand the need to keep the concept fresh and new, there’s just something iconic about his voice singing this particular song.
Nothing against Ne-Yo, but it’s certainly going to be interesting to see how his version matches up with a true classic in Vandross’.
