The No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels will soon take on the No. 2 Villanova Wildcats for a national championship at Houston’s NRG Stadium, and Tar Heels of championships past are turning up in great numbers.
According to Andrew Carter of The News & Observer, at least one player from each UNC national championship team is in attendance tonight. Carter also provided an unofficial list of Tar Heel alumni at the game on Twitter.

All told, Steve Kirschner tells me more than 50 former UNC players will be in attendance. Hansbrough was trying to make it, couldn't.

The high number of NBA players in attendance can be easily explained, as there is a league-wide off day today and it was easy for a number of players to get to Houston. But what really stands out is that Michael Jordan will be at the game.
His Airness now owns the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets and doesn’t appear in public often, so the fact that he is coming out to honor a former coach of his in Roy Williams, who was an assistant to Dean Smith during UNC’s 1982 title run, is quite significant.
And with a Tar Heel army in the crowd tonight, don’t be shocked if UNC winds up running away with the game.
Tip-off is slated for 9:19 p.m. ET on TBS, so be sure to tune in and watch!
