North Carolina players receive warm welcome on return to campus

The North Carolina Tar Heels’ men’s basketball team may have suffered a devastating loss to Villanova in last night’s NCAA Tournament final, but that didn’t stop faithful fans from giving the Tar Heels a heroes’ welcome back to Chapel Hill earlier today.

Multiple sources posted pictures and video of coach Roy Williams and his players returning to Twitter.

It just goes to show that though the Tar Heels did not win a third championship for Williams this year despite looking great from start to finish, their fans are not going to turn against them. This team has a lot to be proud of after going 33-7 (14-4 ACC) in 2015-16 and winning an ACC Championship, and key seniors Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige can begin the next steps of their basketball careers knowing that they left everything out on the court, win or lose.

Some important guys may not be around next year, but count on UNC to perform well once again in 2016-17.
