Villanova fan arrested for assaulting police horse

As expected, Villanova fans went crazy when their team won the 2016 NCAA tournament. Stories of crazed fans in the wake of a big win circulate the media whenever a major championship is played, but this one is  a bit different.

According to police sergeant, Shawn Dietrich, one ‘Nova fan reportedly assaulted a police horse on the streets of campus, Monday night.

Dietrich told USA Today Sports that the individual will be charged with a misdemeanor, for assault on a police animal and is currently being held in custody until he/she is arraigned on Tuesday.

Little is known about this particularly enthusiastic fan and the police horse in question, though we hope the animal did not sustain any serious injuries.

Six individuals total were arrested in the streets of Pennsylvania in their celebratory rampaging.

Dietrich also said that there were many individuals out in the streets who were, “highly intoxicated.” No surprises there.
