Michael Irvin seems to want Cowboys to draft Ezekiel Elliott

The Dallas Cowboys have a number of options to choose from with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. One of their most intriguing options is Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

And if the Cowboys do go with the star rusher, it looks like legendary Cowboy wide receiver Michael Irvin would be very happy.

Irvin took to Twitter Thursday night and said something in reference to another tweet. It certainly looked like he was campaigning for his former team to take Elliott.

He was referencing this tweet.

The Cowboys have met with Ezekiel Elliott in the last few weeks, sending a few assistants out to Columbus to speak with him. It probably wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if Jerry Jones ended up taking a player like him.

He has certainly proven his worth on the football field. Over the last two seasons, Elliott has gone for over 3,600 yards and 41 touchdowns on the ground and over 400 yards through the air.
