The LSU Tigers had one of the country’s top recruiting classes going into the 2016 season and it looks like they are already getting to work for next year’s class as well. Louisiana’s top wide receiver, Devonta Smith, took his second visit to the school on Saturday.
The four-star receiver had already visited the school, taking in a spring practice session.
This is mostly because of the relationship he is building with new receivers coach Dameyune Craig.
“It’s been going good,” Smith said of his relationship with Craig, “and that means a lot because it’s your position coach. I like the way he pushes the receivers.”
He is one of the best receivers available in the 2017 class and if he does commit to the Tigers, that could be a big coup for LSU. Right now, Florida State and Alabama are the leaders to land Devonta Smith, but his budding relationship with the team could lead to him staying in-state.
