The NFL Draft rumors are circulating, especially regarding the Dallas Cowboys and the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft later this month.
As the anticipation for the draft continues to increase, there has been plenty of discussion about the direction Jerry Jones’ team could go with their top five selection.
Ohio State stars Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott have been heavily mentioned, along with UCLA star Myles Jack and the possibility of adding the team’s quarterback of the future. But what about the Dallas secondary?
According to a report from TFY Draft Insider’s Tony Pauline, Florida State Seminoles defensive back Jalen Ramsey is the top player on Dallas’ draft board. The Cowboys have reportedly been high on Ramsey for the past few months.
Because of his position, it is very possible that Ramsey, who many believe to be the top talent in the draft, will be available at No. 4.
And if Ramsey is there, don’t be surprised if Dallas pulls the trigger.
The Cowboys defense — specifically the secondary — has been an area of weakness for years. Adding the best defensive back in the draft class and a player versatile enough to play cornerback or safety will go a long way in addressing those woes.
