Currently, it appears as though the Denver Broncos have no interest in bringing troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel on board. However, if the reigning Super Bowl MVP gets his way, the signal-caller will eventually land at Mile High.
While discussing the possibility of Johnny Football joining the Broncos, Von Miller said if it was his choice he would already be sharing a locker room with his former Texas A&M teammate.
“If I had to make my decision on it, he would already be on the Broncos,” Miller said, via ESPN.com. “But we’ve got guys in the front office that make those decisions, and they put us in championships with those decisions.
“So I’m just going to follow those guys and have those guys take the lead.”
The Broncos, who met with Manziel last week, have not completely ruled out signing the former Texas A&M star. Denver coach Gary Kubiak, coincidentally also a former Aggies quarterback, personally met with Manziel and will wait for the quarterback’s legal issues to sort themselves out before making any kind of decision.
Manziel was released by the Cleveland Browns after an incident where he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and himself. Manziel could face punishment from the league, depending on how the legal process plays out.
Will Manziel get another crack in the league? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts.
