New video shows Will Smith involved in possible hit-and-run before death

|

As we continue to search for answers in the shooting death of former New Orleans Saints star Will Smith, new details are emerging including the release of a surveillance video from moments before the fatal shooting.

Smith’s alleged murderer, Cardell Hayes, had his defense claim he was involved in a hit-and-run prior to the altercation that led to Smith’s death. Hayes’ defense also claims he was not the aggressor following the accident.

“Someone hit him,” John Fuller said on behalf of Hayes. “The person failed to pull over. My client trailed behind this person in an effort to get their license plate number. My client also called 911.”

In the most recently released surveillance video from the incident, we can see a possible hit-and-run where Smith’s Mercedes SUV appears to rear-end Hayes’ Hummer.

As Hayes attempts to pull off the road, the Mercedes SUV can be seen speeding away.

Hayes’ Hummer then gives chase to the location where Smith’s life came to an end.

It’s a sad situation all around and one that could have been prevented.
