Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason is in further trouble with the law after he missed his court appearance to address his reckless driving charge from last month.
According to TMZ, via a rep from Broward County Courts, a warrant is out for Mason’s arrest because he missed his date with the judge. Once he is taken into custody, his bond will be set at $1,500.
Long story short, Mason is probably staring a suspension under the NFL’s personal conduct policy square in the face. He was charged not only with reckless driving last month, but also marijuana possession and resisting arrest. According to the arrest report, police had to use a taser on him.
Of course, Mason himself has not commented on the situation.
Either way, it wouldn’t at all be shocking to see the Rams release Mason as a result of this. Not only is Todd Gurley locked in as the starting running back, but Benji Cunningham has proven to be more of a reliable backup than Mason has.
